What about parking?
We don’t have private parking. Normally there’s no problem with finding a parking space close to the hotel. Parking in front of the hotel is 1 euro per hour between 9h and 12h and between 13h30 and 18h. Otherwise free. There are also free (anytime) edgeparkings at 500m from the hotel. (Leopold III-laan is the closest).
Motorcycles can also park in front of the hotel, which is safe enough. Motorbikes don’t need parkingtickets in the street. If you really want secure parking, 200m from the hotel is a payable underground parking possible at 11 euro for 24 hours. 2 motorbikes can stand at 1 spot.
Who is Vincent?
I’m a local, born in Ypres in 1978 and lived my whole live here. So I’m knowledgable about this region and I speak English very well. I always wanted to have my own business. I started end 2007 with this hotel, have taken over the formerly “Shell hole hotel” and turned it into an up to date hotel Ambrosia. After the renovations, I opened in March 2008. My ultimate goal is having guests being so pleased that they want to come back. Returning guests is the nicest compliment I can get. In my spare time, I like cycling and spending time with the family. At this moment, I’m also learning polish, a challenge :-).
Who is Iwona?
I’m polish and as a student, I have spend many holidays in Belgium for studentjobs. After my studies I came to Belgium to learn Dutch fulltime. In that year I ‘ve met Vincent… Now we’re happily married and have twins of 9. I speak English. I help Vincent with the business. I love meeting new people and I look for the finishing touch in the hotel. In my free time I read books, play with our boys and cycle. I love healthy food and physical activity.
